If you’ve been wanting to work remotely but don’t know where to start, don’t worry, I got you.
Today I’m sharing some of the best remote jobs that don’t require any experience so you can start making money online as soon as possible.
A lot of people think that you need to be super skilled to get a remote job, but the truth is there are a lot of beginner friendly options out there. So let’s get into it.
Customer Service & Support
A lot of companies need people to help customers with questions and problems. And the best part is you don’t need fancy skills or a degree to do this job. You just need to be good at communication and a little patience.
So here are a few jobs that are perfect for beginners.
1. Live Chat Support Rep
Have you ever messaged a company for help and got a response from a customer support agent? That could be you.
Live chat support reps answer questions from customers through chat instead of phone calls. So this is great if you don’t like to talk on the phone all day.
Most companies also provide scripts for this, so you don’t have to come up with answers from scratch. The key here is knowing how to type fast and keeping things friendly and professional.
What you need for this job:
- Be good at typing
- Be clear and polite with your written communication
- Have basic problem-solving skills
Companies like Amazon and Teleperformance usually offer remote live chat positions with training, so those are great places to start looking.
2. Virtual Assistant (VA)
A virtual assistant or VA is basically an online personal assistant for businesses or entrepreneurs. You might help with emails, booking appointments, social media, or even small admin tasks.
It’s a great way to start working remotely because you don’t need specialized skills, just good organization and a willingness to learn.
What you need to become a VA:
- Good organization skills
- Be familiar with Google Docs and email
- Good attention to detail
Remember, your job as a virtual assistant is to help make the business owner’s or entrepreneur’s work a lot easier and smoother. So attention to detail and critical thinking are really important here.
Where you can apply for VA positions:
- Upwork
- Facebook groups — a lot of digital nomad Facebook groups nowadays have a good amount of job opportunities and businesses and entrepreneurs are constantly looking for virtual assistants there
- LinkedIn is another platform that’s worth checking out

Content Creation & Social Media
If you spend hours on social media, why not get paid for it? You don’t need to be an influencer to make money from social media. There’s also plenty of behind-the-scenes work.
3. Social Media Manager
Small businesses and brands need help with keeping up with their social media. As a social media manager, you’ll schedule posts, reply to comments, and sometimes even create the content.
If you already know your way around Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook, this would be a fun way to start working remotely. Plus it’s a skill that can pay really well once you gain experience.
What you need to start working as a social media manager:
- Basic knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or any platform the business uses for their social media presence
- A good eye for content (Canva is a really good tool for this – I’ve also talked about different ways to make money using Canva in this other post)
- Creative writing skills because when you create content you might have to come up with the caption as well
You can find social media manager jobs on Upwork, We Work Remotely, and LinkedIn.
4. UGC Creator
UGC stands for user-generated content. If you love creating content and making videos but you don’t really want to post it on your own social media, UGC can be a really great alternative.
You create content for brands that they later use to post on their own social media page or run as ads — things like unboxing videos, tutorials, or reviews.
For this, you don’t need a big following because you will not be posting on your own social media channel. Just good lighting and a decent camera.
The skills you need:
- Basic video editing — know how to use CapCut or InShot
- Be creative so you can make engaging content
- Be able to follow brand guidelines
You can pitch to brands directly, check out the TikTok Creator Marketplace, or join platforms like Brands Meet Creators to find UGC gigs.

Teaching & Tutoring
If you like teaching and you like helping people learn a skill, then online tutoring might be for you. And nope, you don’t need to be a certified teacher to do this. Just be fluent in English and good at explaining things.
5. Online Language Tutor
English is in high demand all over the world and many tutoring platforms let you teach it online without a teaching degree. Some do require you to have a certification like TEFL. Others like Cambly don’t usually require that.
And when I say English tutor, it can be any type of language that you’re fluent in. You can be an Italian tutor, Chinese tutor, Korean tutor, you name it. But the main key here is you want to be able to create a simple lesson plan and teach comfortably in your native language.
Being bilingual is also a bonus so you can explain things in the student’s language too.
This is a flexible, easy, and really great way to start making money online.
What you need:
- Fluent language skills
- A friendly and patient personality because you’re going to be a teacher
- A quiet space for video calls
You can look at websites like Cambly or Preply to start applying for this type of job.

Freelancing & Gig Work
Freelancing is perfect if you want to have control over your schedule. I wouldn’t say just rely on freelancing though — the income wouldn’t be sustainable right away — but this could be a really good starting point and you can take on projects as a side hustle.
Here are two beginner-friendly freelance jobs.
6. Content Writer
If you enjoy writing, this one is for you. Businesses are always looking for writers to create blog posts, website content, or even product descriptions.
A lot of beginners start with simple gigs on Fiverr or Upwork and then start building connections so they can work their way up to higher paying clients.
What you need:
- Strong writing and grammar skills
- The ability to research and also summarize information
- Some knowledge of SEO — this can be a really helpful skill to have as a content writer
You can find content writing jobs on Textbroker, ProBlogger, or Fiverr.
7. Data Entry
Last but not least is data entry. This one is exactly like what it sounds like — typing information into spreadsheets and databases.
It is repetitive but super easy and it doesn’t require any experience. So if you’re a fast typer and detail oriented, it’s a simple way to start making money remotely.
What you need:
- Be able to type fast and accurately
- Attention to detail
- Be familiar with Excel and Google Sheets
You can look for this job on Clickworker, LinkedIn, and also Fiverr.

What Should You Do Next?
Now that you know your options, don’t overthink it.
Start with one role that feels interesting to you.
Then:
- Build basic skills (YouTube is more than enough to start)
- Apply consistently
- Learn as you go
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Most people grow into these roles—not the other way around.
