8 Digital Products Ideas With Insane Earning Potential

earn from digital products ideas

If I were starting a brand new digital product business from scratch, these are eight digital products I would seriously consider creating this year. I did a lot of research and these are products people are currently paying for right now.

Because the truth is, many digital product ideas that worked a few years ago just aren’t hitting the same anymore, while others are getting easier to sell. I’m including quite a variety of niches and product types so you can pick and choose what works best for you.

1. Project Management Spreadsheets

Templates and resources that genuinely make someone’s life or business easier are some of my favorite digital products to recommend. And project management spreadsheets are such a good example of this.

The proof: A shop called HeyMorning is a great example of what’s possible. They’ve only had their Etsy shop open for about a year and a half and they’ve already made over 43k in sales — mainly from selling Google Sheet templates.
Their average selling price is $8, so you can do the math on how much they’ve already earned just from selling spreadsheets.

Why it works: Project management is a pain point for so many people — freelancers, small business owners, content creators, and even students. People don’t want a complicated system that’s just going to take up more of their time. They just want something simple, organized, and easy to use, which is exactly what these spreadsheets offer.

One tip worth stealing from this shop: They include a demo video showing buyers exactly how to use the template before purchasing. I recommend having some sort of walkthrough tutorial because it increases the value by so much.

Not into project management? That’s totally fine — there are many types of spreadsheets that work really well, like pricing calculators, social media planners, and book trackers.
Yes, these can take time to create, but in my opinion it’s worth the effort to learn this skill and offer a really valuable resource that you can charge more for, rather than $1 to $2 low value digital downloads.

One more thing — Etsy isn’t the only place you can sell these. I’m using it as an example because it gives us a ton of public data to research.
You can absolutely sell on your own website. Although Etsy is a great starting point for visibility and validation, having your own platform down the road gives you more control and a stronger brand.

2. Notion Planner Templates

The proof: TheSeekerSociety shop has been open for about 4 years and has already generated almost $400,000 in revenue selling Notion templates — which is pretty wild.

And here’s what stood out to me the most: they currently have only 16 active listings. That’s such a good reminder that you don’t necessarily need a massive product catalog to be successful when your product is well thought out, well positioned, and takes some time and skill to produce.

Their ADHD-focused planners are their top performers — two of which are generating over $3,000 per month each.

Why it works: People aren’t buying these just for their aesthetic. Yes, they look really nice, but the biggest reason people buy them is because they help reduce overwhelm, create structure, and make day-to-day life or work tasks feel more manageable.

No Notion experience? No problem. You can literally watch a bunch of free YouTube tutorials and figure it out as you go.
I really recommend learning this skill if it interests you — Notion templates fall into a higher value category of digital products.
They’re not quick $1 digital downloads. Depending on how detailed your planner is, you can realistically charge anywhere from $20 to $60 and sometimes even more.

Whether that’s ADHD planners, business dashboards, content systems, or life planners — this type of digital product has so much potential.

3. PNG Bundles

If you’re creative and enjoy graphic design, PNG bundles are worth exploring.

I’m personally not a fan of encouraging people to create $1 or $2 digital downloads — because while they can sell really well, you need a lot of volume to make them worth your time.

So instead, I did a deeper dive into PNG bundles that are priced slightly higher than average and are actually performing really well.

Listings like a “just one more chapter” reading-themed bundle, and a sarcastic quotes bundle are solid performers.

Even though some of these go on sale from time to time, their original prices typically range from $5 to $10 or so.
And you might notice that the designs themselves are actually very simple — most of them are quotes paired with basic graphics or decorative elements that you could easily create on a beginner-friendly graphic design platform.

4. Tiny Courses

You’ve probably heard of digital courses a thousand times. And maybe mini courses too. Tiny courses take it even further. These are hyper-focused, usually consist of just a few short lessons designed to help someone achieve one very specific outcome.

Keep your tiny course to about 5 to 10 lessons max, with each lesson around 3 to 8 minutes. Include one to two resources or templates to help your customers actually implement what you’re teaching.

Why it works right now: Many people just aren’t looking for a huge all-in-one program anymore. They’re too busy for that. They have a problem right now and they want the fastest, clearest way to solve it.
It’s also a much less overwhelming way to start teaching if the idea of building a full 6-module course feels like too much to you.

5. Workbooks and Trackers

These are genuinely underrated.

The proof: This gardening workbook and tracker bundle — that one listing alone is generating around $400 to $500 per month. It’s also not an oversaturated niche. It’s very specific and very valuable to the right person.

Why they’ll always sell: Since these products help people actually do something — track their progress, build better habits, follow a process, or stay consistent with a hobby or goal — they’ll always be profitable products.

Easy to create too. You could literally build a full workbook or tracker bundle using Canva or Google Docs, export everything as PDFs, and sell it as a digital bundle. Great option if you’re just getting started.

The concept works across so many niches, for example: self-care workbooks, preschool activity books, novel writing trackers, fitness habit journals — anywhere people are trying to make consistent progress on something they care about.

6. Client Guide Templates

This category is especially powerful if you’re in a service-based or professional niche.

The proof: A real estate listing and buyer presentation bundle from a shop called Real Estate Template Co. generates over $2,000 per month from a single listing — originally priced at $50.

Why it works: This isn’t just a basic PDF someone consumes once and forgets about. It’s a complete client guide system that real estate agents use directly in their business — walking clients through pricing strategies, what to expect during the buying or selling process, negotiation tips, staging advice, and clear step-by-step road maps, all in a really polished and professional way.

And even though we live in a world where you can basically find any information online, that’s not why people buy templates like this. They buy them because they’re based on real experience from a professional sharing their actual steps and process.

This concept works really well for: photographers (pricing and process guides), coaches (client onboarding materials), consultants (framework explainers), and freelancers (timeline and expectation documents).

7. Memberships

This is a category that I feel is quietly becoming more and more appealing to both creators and buyers.

And I know you might hear the word “membership” and immediately picture something overwhelming — producing daily content, constant live calls, endless resources. But that’s not necessarily what people are looking for now.

Similar to tiny courses, people are just very busy. They don’t have time to consume new content every week, let alone hop on constant coaching calls. What most people actually want is ongoing support, accountability, and structure — without feeling the pressure or overwhelm.

A membership can be as simple as: a growing library of templates, a private community where members can ask questions and stay consistent, or a monthly Q&A call.

The value really comes from helping people stay on track with their goals.

Why it’s great for creators too: Memberships create recurring income. Instead of constantly starting from zero every month, you’re building something that compounds over time.

Pricing range: Anywhere from $5 to $100 or more per month, depending on your topic, what members get access to, and what transformation you’re helping them achieve.

8. Airbnb Income and Expense Templates

This one immediately caught my attention during my research, and I honestly had to double-check the numbers because they’re kind of wild.

The proof: This shop TheWeeklyCrew has only been open for about 3 years, currently has only 48 active listings, sells primarily Google Sheet templates, and has generated over 142k sales.

One of their top performing listings is an Airbnb income and expense spreadsheet — and what I love about this example is that how incredibly specific it is.

Why it works: A generic budget tracker performs well on its own. But a spreadsheet built specifically for Airbnb hosts — tracking income, expenses, cleaning fees, repairs, occupancy rates, and profitability — speaks directly to a very specific business owner with very specific needs. That niche positioning makes all the difference.

Final Thought

So there you have it — eight digital product ideas that are actually working and anyone can sell.

If there’s one theme across all of these ideas, it’s this:

The digital products that are working right now solve specific problems in simple, practical ways.

You don’t need hundreds of products.
You don’t need something revolutionary.
You need clarity, positioning, and real value.

Start with what you know. Package it well. Make it genuinely helpful.
